No small wonder was recorded over a long weekend in November 2001. It contains solely the work of Paul Edwards, a member of the choir, and the title track was broadcast by the choir of King's College Cambridge shortly afterwards. In December 2008 it came as number 19 in a list of 50 best carols, published in the BBC Music Magazine, which asked for the views of a selection of eminent musicians.
