Concord Singers

The Concord Singers were formed in 1979 by Mary Lock when she was Lecturer in Music at Bedford College of Education, bringing together a few students and staff of the College.  Over the years the choir has grown, and has built a considerable reputation for fine performances in Bedfordshire and beyond. Our repertoire is wide and includes many kinds of music including some specially commissioned works.

Membership of Concord Singers is by invitation, but interested, experienced singers are welcome to contact us.  Membership currently costs £15 per term, and we buy or hire our own music.  Some students are invited to sing with us on different terms.

We rehearse on Monday evenings at 7.45 in Bedford, at Beauchamp Middle School, Hawk Drive.

Our repertoire is extremely wide: we sing a cappella or accompanied works from the middle ages to the present, and we have joined with other choirs to sing larger-scale works.
